It wasn’t until we were home and unloading the car when I realized…that is a lot of peaches for just two people. So I started brainstorming ideas on how to use them up for the week.
I turned to our cookbook shelf and started flipping through The Perfect Scoop and found this simple peach ice cream recipe! Any excuse to dust off our ice cream maker on a hot summer week night is the exact reason that I keep the bowl ready to go in the freezer on stand-by at all times.
As a result, we’ve been enjoying some cool dessert breaks on the porch in the evenings just before the sun starts to set. And as for the rest of the remaining peaches, they’re getting used up in a crisp for a picnic in the park this weekend as soon as I find a recipe.
