We found ourselves on a cute breakfast date this past Saturday for a long-awaited visit to Folks Café!
The sign for empanadas on the door of this cute corner coffee shop caught our attention last year during a visit to Hi-Wire Brewing nearby. I can’t tell you the number of times we would pass by, typically on a Sunday, when they were closed and say “ah, we still gotta check this place out!”
From the moment we finally stepped inside, it felt so warm, welcoming and the staff was truly the sweetest! We ordered and then took our coffee out on their back patio area to enjoy while we waited on our food.
Breakfast was all amazing, so I don’t think you can go wrong with anything on their menu! The omelets that they delivered to the tables next to us were MASSIVE, so I know we will be back so Phil can sample them. Plus, I think this is the first time we’ve seen/ordered empanadas since being in NC?! 🥟
It should come as no surprise that we ate that entire photo above, and then Phil went back and ordered a muffin for us to split. . . because you always gotta cap off a good meal meal with something sweet 😉
This might be one of our new favorite breakfast spots! We definitely recommend if you’re in the mood for good coffee & South American cuisine ☕️
