monday musings: vol. 6

Yay to turning over a new leaf — it’s the start of a new season 🍂

I am writing to you post-dinner, and I am currently full of this leftover pear galette dessert that I whipped up last night with some really sweet pears that we grabbed over the weekend. I’m also excited to try another easy new recipe to share with my book club later this week. I absolutely love fall baking, some pumpkin spice and everything nice — which includes the thrill of finding the perfect cozy scented candle! This week’s Monday Musings are a celebration of this season’s simple joys, some fall favorites and just a few of my current autumn obsessions.

  • a festive doormat to greet you & your guests.
  • some ghostly art to add a haunting yet charming touch to any display. I actually bought this last year, and with all of the furniture projects we were knocking out during October, I didn’t have anything to prop it up on. So I am excited to have finished furniture to display it on this year!
  • y’all already know how I feel about some cozy lamps and lights. . .
  • and the real ones know that my other weakness involves cute dishtowels — you can never have too many (speaking from experience lol)
  • this candle with warm fall spice notes that makes your living room smell like you’ve been baking all afternoon (even if baking isn’t your thing)? oh gourd, yes please!
  • a pair of skeleton lawn ornaments that I am *dying* to use in the pots of my larger indoor plants — equally playful and petrifying.

Happy Monday to you!! 🎃🍁👻
