It’s time for another round of Monday Musings: discoveries, obsessions, and simple things making life sweeter 🐠
- In the springtime, I had a wonderful last minute opportunity to take a trip and go visit my sister. Northwest Arkansas is home to Walmart, The Simple Life and Onyx Coffee. Now look, I don’t know what is in their ~beans~ but we stopped there for coffee three times during my short visit AND I bought a bag of the Southern Weather to roast at home. It’s our new favorite coffee! We ran out recently, and I grabbed a local bag just to have on hand which is good but not as good. Phil’s cousin stayed with us this summer and I offered him a blind taste test of our two coffees, and Onyx was the clear winner. My parents are coming to visit soon and it reminded me that I need to stock up. It makes the perfect gift to give too ☕️
- I just finished this book last week and it was the perfect beach read to “close out” the calendar summer (local’s summer is just getting started #iykyk). Good things do happen at the lake! I loved the banter, the wit, and the summer bucket list. I just saw last week that Carley revealed the cover of her next book set to be released in May of 2026, so I am looking forward to her next summer read 🚤
- How freaking CUTE are these lil’ fishy keychains that I saw on Instagram via u:withinthegrove!? I have been obsessed with all things fish this summer 🐟 My to-do list is endless, but I do also love me a good craft, so the important stuff just might have to wait while I run to the craftstore to walk out with a bag full of beads 😜 There is also another good tutorial here on IG via u:rebekahmarsden.
- The clearance gods were smiling down on me when I managed to snag this denim skort I’d been eyeing since April on hella-sale. It was perfect to pack for all of the walking we did while spending this labor day weekend in Charleston. When I first saw it on clearance, they were out of stock in my size, BUT I noticed that they have been doing random small restocks and that was when I lucked out. It’s still an additional 50% too so act fast 🛍
