Phil’s pick of the month found us in a cozy corner table at the newly opened South Front Tavern where we sipped cocktails and started off strong with an order of the pork empanadas. That ancho chili jam was perfection 🤌
We were impressed with the variety of offerings on their menu and ended up ordering the “Fat Tuesday” gumbo special and a burger for dinner. Not only was the food great, but so was the service and hospitality! The owner took the time to drop by and check in on each table and had a genuine conversation with us after our meal.
. . .So is it any surprise that we’ve already been back again since then to enjoy their craft cocktails with friends while catching a Saturday game at their bar top? Highly recommend their NC Blueberry Lemonade because the fresh squeezed juice is a taste above 🍋
