a spring in our step!

The return of the farmers market this past Saturday morning had me feeling like Peach from Finding Nemo:

“It’s morning, everyone! Today’s the day! The sun is shining, the tank is clean. . .”

(all applicable except I’ll be honest, our house was a mess, but the weather was too nice to be stuck inside cleaning all weekend, so adventuring we went!)

Our first stop of the day was a long awaited trip to Hidden Grounds to enjoy some tasty sips as we made a quick pass through the farmers market. Then we ventured down to the community college to check out the boat show.

We headed back over to the market to get a refill on our kombucha growler from Panacea, snagged a few (cute!) handmade dog treats for Beam’s birthday next week, and treated ourselves to a beautiful ceramic kitchen whisk — hey it’s the little things 😉

Afterwards, we popped over in to to my favorite local indie bookshop, Papercut Books where I found a copy of The Kamogawa Food Detectives by Hisashi Kashiwai. It has a happy orange tabby cat on the front cover, so it felt like it was meant to be!

Call me basic, but I love this time of year and am thrilled it’s farmers market szn again!

On Sunday we headed over to the Earth Day Festival and live music at Waterline Brewing where scored some cute seed kits from Bloomers. If you’re local, we highly recommend checking them out for any and all things gardening! I started some seeds a few weeks ago for our flower beds and their quality is unmatched!

Cheers to a new week!
